Inshore
Snook - Spring thru Fall – Flats Fishing - Best time to fish March, April, May Anytime – June, July, August – Morning, Evening, or Night, September & October Anytime – Winter fishing is all backwater with lures. Fishing is still productive but normally no live bait.
Redfish – Spring thru Fall – Summer is the best when Redfish are traveling in large schools, Redfish will eat year round.
Trout – Year Round – Fishing Grass Flats – Trout can be caught year round but winter is the best for time Lunker Trout fishing using top water baits fishing the grass flats. All you need thru the rest of the year is live bait and a popping cork. Trout do not normally care what time of year it is to bite.
Flounder – Spring thru Fall – Sand Patches in Grass Flats and Sandy Bottom, Flounder are not shy if they are in a sand patch with other species of fish they are not afraid to eat.
Cobia – Spring thru Fall – Grass Flats, Channel Markers, and Structure on Bottom, Cobia are most prominent in the Summer Months and are not afraid to eat anything you throw at them.
Tarpon – Spring thru Fall – Grass Flats, Structure, Bridges, Bayou’s, The silver king is best fished from early spring to fall. They are not scared to ware out a client and a reel.
Shark – Summer to Fall – Open Water in Bays and Structure – Sharks of all sizes and types are in our local bays normally better fished at night thru the summer but will eat anytime.
Snapper- Fall thru Spring - Snapper bite year round during the winter they migrate closer to shore and into the bay around docks, bridges, and any underwater structure. Summer months the Snapper bite is more productive at night on a full moon and during the day on a new moon. But Fall thru Spring is very productive anytime.
Sheepshead – Fall thru Spring – These fish are around any docks, bridges, or any underwater structure and will eat anytime a bait is presented. My experience anytime you are catching Sheepshead there are plenty of snapper to be caught as well.
Grouper – Best Fall thru Spring – Reefs and Wrecks– Grouper will eat year round during the winter grouper migrate closer to shore and into the bay. Normally happy to eat when a bait is presented and can be caught in inland waters.
Near shore
Grouper – Year Round – Reefs, Wrecks and Natural Springs – Grouper bite year round during the winter grouper migrate closer to shore and into the bay. Normally happy to eat when a bait is presented.

Amber Jack – Summer Months – Reefs, Wrecks and Natural Springs – Amber Jack are most prominent in the Summer Months and are not afraid to eat anything you throw at them.
